Saturday was spent touring the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace before heading over Hong Quia- the Pearl Market so that we could do what any good Hong Konger does...shop.

The day began with a western style breakfast at the hotel. We sat with Meg, who also traveled to Beijing for the weekend to do her own sightseeing. At 8:30 AM, Moe and I met Ike and Mr. Chow and we set out to see the Ming Tombs-a forty minute drive away.

I am so glad that we made it to Beijing. It was an important experience and will definitely remain a highlight. Moe got a few days off from work and we went from Thursday November 18th to Sunday November 21st.

Moe and I were invited to join Hong Kong native and Simon Alum, Amy, on a Saturday hike followed by a hotpot dinner with her friends. We joined her at the Choi Hung MTR (train) Station and took a minibus to Sai Kung, a town located in the south east section of the New Territories.
