This day had a lot packed into it, so I am splitting up the posts.
Saturday was spent touring the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace before heading over Hong Quia- the Pearl Market so that we could do what any good Hong Konger does...shop.

Peking Turkey
Only in Hong Kong would we consider ordering our Thanksgiving meal from the Ritz Carlton. We did and it was tasty. We had our meal at Nariko, Ian and Hana's house together with Ian's parents and friends Grace, Andrew and Meg.

Second Day in Beijing
The day began with a western style breakfast at the hotel. We sat with Meg, who also traveled to Beijing for the weekend to do her own sightseeing. At 8:30 AM, Moe and I met Ike and Mr. Chow and we set out to see the Ming Tombs-a forty minute drive away.

Sheryl's Visit
- Our great! friend Sheryl came to visit us on her way to the Phillipines. We had a wonderful time as we whipped all around Hong Kong in order to show her the highlights (in 3 short days).

UJC China Trip
- On October 21 through the 24, 2004, Moe and I went with a group of 30 people to the Jiangxi Province in the south of China. The group was organized through the United Jewish Congregation of Hong Kong, specifically by Barbara Thomas. The purpose of the trip was to deliver scholarship monies, school supplies and building funds to two schools in/near the city of Ji-an. One school was in a poor village and the other school was in the city. After we accomplished those tasks we went sight seeing around Jinggangshan City, a 3 hour bus ride away.
